Now that the wash-in is over and the exhaustion from getting ready for it has passed ***wipes brow*** I'm starting to work on the Discuss-o-Mat code again.
I just wrote and installed new code to activate the new Delete your post feature. It works very similarly to Edit your post, except if you decide you want to delete the post completely you can do that, it is under the same 6 hour time limit. After six hours you may not delete or edit your post. You can select "Remove your post" under the Select-o-Dial Menu for newer computers or click on the Remove Post icon for older computers.
Here is how it works,
If you decide to delete your post and its in a thread that already has responses the system will wipe out the post and replace it with: This post has been removed by the member who posted it.
If you created the thread and no one has yet to respond to it, once you select delete the ENTIRE thread will be deleted from the index list and archives.
Questions/Comments/Bugs??? Bring it on.
