Now that the wash-in is over and the exhaustion from getting ready for it has passed ***wipes brow*** I'm starting to work on the Discuss-o-Mat code again.

I just wrote and installed new code to activate the new Delete your post feature. It works very similarly to Edit your post, except if you decide you want to delete the post completely you can do that, it is under the same 6 hour time limit. After six hours you may not delete or edit your post. You can select "Remove your post" under the Select-o-Dial Menu for newer computers or click on the Remove Post icon for older computers.

Here is how it works,

If you decide to delete your post and its in a thread that already has responses the system will wipe out the post and replace it with: This post has been removed by the member who posted it.

If you created the thread and no one has yet to respond to it, once you select delete the ENTIRE thread will be deleted from the index list and archives.

Questions/Comments/Bugs??? Bring it on.

***hands on hips***

Robert is a no-good, dirty rotten, lousy, washer lovin' Rat Fink!

Someone is going to be slapped hard next week at the Vacuum convention in Austin, TX. hmmmmph!

Something's Broke

in the Wash-Rinse-Spin button mechanism. I read this thread for the first time this morning, after which the button got set to Rinse where it should have been Spin. Clicking on that Rinse button placed me at the top of the thread.

Happened again

After posting my earlier message to this thread, the Rinse button was lit up. Again positioned to start of thread. This same behavior is noticed in thread 28565 (seat belts).

wash-rinse-spin mechanism

Thanks Tom, it seems to be only on those two threads. All others I tried are working fine.

I'll check that out later to see what is causing that. I suspect this was an issue long before I made these latest changes and related to something else.

More to come later.
