Hi Kids-

I finally got out of the retail hellhole known as Saver's and got me a new gig! I am now working for Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee Company as a Service Technician. I will be repairing coffee machines-the big buggas you see in inconvience stores and fancy groceries with brand names like Bunn and Curtis. Today was my first day and it is indeed a very hawaiian place to work-very laid back, relaxed, no drama at all (not yet anyway!) In fact they barely knew what to do with me today so I sat round and talked story with my new co-workers. I guess tomorrow they are flying a fellow over from Oahu to show me the ropes and stuff.

So the reason I am so buzzed is that we can have all the coffee we want-and it's really good coffee. Right there in the office is a big stainless steel coffee grinder full of Kona Classic beans and a Bunn coffee maker. Just dump a bottle of Hawaiian Isles water in with the freshly ground beans and..., well I hope I can get to sleep tonight!

The strange thing is too, that Dennis won 3 cases of Hawaiian Isles coffee in a drawing at Kmart the day before I applied for this job. So now I get plenty coffee!!!

This job rocks too in that it is a weekday job-no more evenings and weekends and Dennis and I can ride together-oh and did I mention more money: )

At home I don't even use a coffee machine-just a simple Chemex.

Here is a link to my new employer. Order Coffee!

good luck

every one deserves to work at a job they like it make life so hard if you hate your job

David, I am so happy for you. Grocery store business is hell. I am sorry that you had to go through it and glad that you are out of it and into something that is more pleasant, appeals to your interests, uses more of your talents and is only 9 to 5 Monday - Friday, not to mention better paying. Please give the Boy Kitty a little rub for me and say HI to Dennis.

Don't wear out your kidneys with all of that coffee.
Best wishes,
Tom
