Hi Kids-
I finally got out of the retail hellhole known as Saver's and got me a new gig! I am now working for Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee Company as a Service Technician. I will be repairing coffee machines-the big buggas you see in inconvience stores and fancy groceries with brand names like Bunn and Curtis. Today was my first day and it is indeed a very hawaiian place to work-very laid back, relaxed, no drama at all (not yet anyway!) In fact they barely knew what to do with me today so I sat round and talked story with my new co-workers. I guess tomorrow they are flying a fellow over from Oahu to show me the ropes and stuff.
So the reason I am so buzzed is that we can have all the coffee we want-and it's really good coffee. Right there in the office is a big stainless steel coffee grinder full of Kona Classic beans and a Bunn coffee maker. Just dump a bottle of Hawaiian Isles water in with the freshly ground beans and..., well I hope I can get to sleep tonight!
The strange thing is too, that Dennis won 3 cases of Hawaiian Isles coffee in a drawing at Kmart the day before I applied for this job. So now I get plenty coffee!!!
This job rocks too in that it is a weekday job-no more evenings and weekends and Dennis and I can ride together-oh and did I mention more money: )
At home I don't even use a coffee machine-just a simple Chemex.
Here is a link to my new employer. Order Coffee!
