The price is high even for Cadet Blue.  The fridge is missing the crispers, but it does appear to be a '56 single door Combination model.

I don't think I've ever seen a two-door GE fridge in Cadet Blue.  What's up with that?  Was it only ever available on single door models?

GE Cadet Blue Appliances

The range may be usable, it is an odd 36" wide size [ this size was made by GE for people upgrading from gas ranges ], the refrigerator is another story, it is missing the door seal for starters and the blue appears to be a repaint job as the blue color should extend to the plastic breaker strips.

And along with the other missing parts Ralph mentioned the ref is not worth much. I have seen two door GE refs in cadet blue, however GE did not make this color long, maybe only 2 or 3 years, someone else probably knows how long, calling Pat C in Va.

Wow John, I didn't even notice the door gasket issue.  It looks like they stuck some weather stripping on the box itself and called it good -- which it isn't.

They'll be letting these go for a whole lot less than $800, that's for sure.

I suppose anything is possible but I don't recall ever seeing the new straight line design 57 GE range or fridge in Cadet blue. See link to AW thread discussing appliance color timeline.

If someone (perhaps Lawrence "Pulltostart") has the parts lists for the '57 model ranges or refrigerators, they can see if Cadet Blue is listed.

Maybe the laundry products were restyled a little earlier in the year than the other items.

I looked at the catalogs that I have and Cadet Blue is not shown on the 1957 color wheel - in its place is white.  It's possible that some of the early printing (such as that laundry brochure) was done before the decision to pull that color.
