Forget what the pseudointellectuals are saying in the comment section, I think it's an exciting new entry into a more traditional product that still moves into the future. Even if it's yet another toy of the ultra wealthy. The interior seating needs to tone down into a more sedan like appearance. Looks too much like barstools or McDonald's seating.

Rather pretty

It's interesting that they capture the flavor of older Cadillac design. I'm seeing 1967 Eldorado and even some 1965-68 in this. Oddly, I'm also seeing the slab side Lincolns too. I've always loved Cadillacs, but not a current fan of what they are doing with them.

WOOOOOW!

Am I seeing a new GM car that looks sexy? Thats new!

I have to say forget all the cadillac stereotypes, thats an awesome car.

I do see some lincolnesque design elements in there! :)

its very retro and cutting edge at the same time.

Its bout time we see some real concept cars hit the market. We keep pondering over these wild designs and no one ever pushes for them.

If I had the ridiculous cash to drop for a cadillac like that I would buy it in a heart beat!

What a beautiful car

My response to the negative feedback in the comments section: If people don't like the American look they can buy something else. I have always loved the American design aesthetic. The generic bubble car look, that defines most small to mid-size Asian and Euro cars, leaves me cold. Without looking at the badge it is immediately apparent that the Ciel is a Cadillac.

I am pretty sure that rear-hinged doors are illegal here in Oz and we will probably not see this beauty grace our roads. Shame.

Banned suicide doors in AUSTRALIA!?!!?

Why? Dont see the point. I think they are better than front mounted doors.

UGH..

Every time I look at that car, I get more attached to it. Definitely my favorite modern GM styled car now!

Without looking at the badge...

Rapunzel's "Without looking at the badge it is apparent that the Ciel is a Cadillac" is so true.
GM's designers have done something I've not seen in a while which is to capture the essence of the brand and make it manifest in good, classic design.
