Try pushing start, spin speed and soil level at the same time. If all the control lights illuminate, that's where the codes will appear. As long as everything is o.k. , it will begin functions in order of programs it will perform. It flows water through the different channels for dispensing, tumbles clockwise, tumbles counter clockwise, spins the lower speed, turns on the pump, spins the higher speed, and , if any of the functions are faulty, it has lettering like " DL" for door lock. Unplug the machine, wait five minutes then press and hold the start/pause button fifteen seconds. Plug the unit back in. Select a program and push start. It should lock then either begin filling or chime lighting up the letters to let you know what's wrong. Mine showed "DL". I called LG @ (800) 243-0000 ,gave them the code and was told I needded
a new door lock assembly. I ordered it on line, got it a week later and it took me fifteen minutes and $51 to fix. Now, it purrs. It has the best washing actions, fastest 1300 RPM spin and a great water recirculating system that sprays down during the wash and rinse programs. It also has a dominant spin method and a longer spin program. Most loadsl take less then thirty minutes to dry in the dryer.Have fun!! My newer addition steam model needs a new spider pullie, a new inner wash basket and new seals. Bobs fix it shop does work on LG and has ordered the parts and will be back next week to do the warranty work on this one.
