I'm going to throw this out, click my heels and make a wish...

Among my modest collection of things appliance was a Westinghouse chime assy. I was in the middle of reworking the chime so I could shoot some video of it playing "How Dry I Am" so people who never saw one could see the cams and strikers working. Anyway, I finished cleaning the timer power cam switch, patched a broken bar mount and went to try it and disaster struck! I found the motor is dead. I've already had it apart and found burned windings (also open windings...) so it's a dead camper.

It doesn't hurt to ask, esp. with this bunch of hoarders... erm.. collectors here on the site so... Does anybody have a lead on a spare motor for this chime assy? I'd hate to see this voice silenced after so many years of proud service! The motor has a different coupler at the end of the drive shaft so trying to mate a different motor will be a pain. Thanks for any ideas or suggestions...

closeup of the drive shaft which mates with a similar one on the cambar and held together with a kind of spring clip. Any help would be welcome! Thanks!

Finding one of those is going to suck, BIGTIME!

Is there a part # anywhere on the motor?

Cramer Co. bought Bristol Motor

Check out the story in this ancient internet thread where the company that bought out Bristol repaired a Bristol motor for someone. They are still around and maybe would be willing to help?

Here is a separate link to the Cramer/Rhodes motor and timer co. They might be a good resource in general even if they can't fix the original motor:
