Unfortunately as with all gas burning appliances with a constant burning pilot there is a lot of corrosion damage in the oven.
We were lucky enough to find a slightly newer version of this oven that was never used and we hooked it up in our warehouse vintage kitchen, but we keep the gas turned off except when we are using the oven.

<span style="font-size: 14pt; color: #008000;">I think Laura Petrie had that same oven in her New Rochelle house. She had a space-age looking Caloric cooktop too.</span>
