Neurobiologists have discovered that homosexuality in fruit flies is controlled by a novel regulator of synapse strength. By harnessing this discovery, the researchers are able to use either genetics or drugs to turn fly homosexual behavior on and off within hours.
"Scientists have known for several years that the master sexual gene, known as fru, was central to mating, coordinating a network of neurons that were involved in the male fly's courtship ritual."
IMHO they should call the gay version of the gene frou-frou! (ducks and runs)!
I was on a date decades ago in a strange far away place known as Jersey City, NJ (also a "suburb" of New York City, and right across the Hudson River).
First, the guy whipped out his little birdie and expected me to kiss it. (You first!) [I assure you this is much funnier in Europe.]
Then, later when things got...er romantic...his two male dogs decided to come watch. I was not too happy. When the dogs' lipstick came out of the holder and they started breathing/panting hard and fast while intently watching, I SIMPLY LEFT. They knew what was going on and apparently it "moved" them. That was the end of that date and any future ones.
Gay dogs? Oh yes I think so. I just want to know who did THEY think was the bitch..........
