Can the plug be changed on a drop-in stove?

Basically NO

If you are trying to plug this range into an outlet and you don't want to modify or remove the outlet you can buy a metal junction box and take a range cord [ either a 3 or 4 wire makes no difference if wired properly ] and make the connections in the box and plug it in.

Be sure you use the proper metal cover on the box, John L.

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering if you could just replace the cord that's currently on back of the stove with one you could buy off of the shelf that plugs in to an existing outlet (like what a stand alone stove uses). We've replaced 3 prong cords with 4 prong cords before, and vice versa, but nothing like this.

Ah, that makes sense now. I thought it might have been different just because it went into a cabinet and that the "cord" was just inside conduit. That's why I checked here to make sure before messing with things. I'm glad I did :-)
