I was sorting out the somewhat overwhelming tool collection, and I came across this one. I just wanted to see if anyone else has one, or knows what it is used for. I tend to think that it is a common tool, although I have hardly ever used it. Maybe this will be an easy ID, maybe not. Two pictures to follow. The third picture shows the tool in action, so I won't post it yet.

It's a bobby pin remover / spin bearing adjuster / drain pump cleanout / timer torque wrench combo tool! :P

No clue.

I know what this is. It's an espresso machine. No, it's a snowcone maker, that's what it is. Is it a water heater? (Schwartzenegger, True Lies)

No clue.

No. 427. I always found that this tool was too much of a bother to set up and use. It is faster to use hose clamp pliers; the kind with the adjustable ends that have indentations for the hose clamp.

AHA! I knew there had to be something to remove or replace those cursed 'Corbin' hose clamps! I tend to remove them and replace them with a simple gear clamp, too.

Much easier to use the hose clamp pliers. It takes too much patience to set up the nifty-looking tool (i.e., positioning it just right, getting the hose clamp ends into the slot, slowly twisting the handle, etc.). Especially true when laying on a damp floor in someone's cellar.

OMG.....I remember seeing this at the shop I worked at as a kid...seen the pic and it never occured to me...seen it used once and that was the end of it.....regular hose clamp pliers were always the tool of choice......

my Dad used to call them MickeyMouse clamps...
