Thanks to Paul and another appliance collector he knows, I'm now the owner of something unusual. And thanks to my other friend Steve who gave it to me for my 40th birthday!

The 1967 Canadian models had red accents on their control panels, this Imperial dryer was the top-of-the line dryer here. The first I get with the electronic dryness sensor.

I'll have to match a washer to it!

:-)

My birthday was on 1-18 but I had not spend my birthday gift yet (it was money aimed at buying anything Frigidaire I wanted!).

Happy belated birthday Phil!

Hope all is well! Congrats on the great find, great looking machine and automatic drying is the handiest feature. I'm sure the mate will show up!

Lighted panel works! Again, no fluorescent starter on this Canadian model, you have to hold the switch to turn it on. (click on the 1st image to see the video).

buzzer length

Phil, Steve 1-18 had a 1966 version of this dryer.  The buzzer length is the amount of time that the dryer shuts off until the motor coasts down to just before it stops tumbling.  It's pretty short.

Not like my 1965 CI dryer that buzzes 5-6 times or my 1-18 dryers that buzz constantly for almost a minute at the end of the cycle!

I wish I could find a control panel that matches this one for a washer, I think I'll have to be a bit creative to make one!
