Afternoon All,

So another glorious day and still in lockdown which restricts much activity, so i thought lets have a play with a machine i had imported last year from Italy, the Candy Bi-matic dating from 1960.

It was advertised as never used and the condition was very good when it arrived, complete with instruction manual, green filler hose & laundry tongs which are Candy marked.

Lovely looking machine and styled beautifully, however the wash, which i think has been discussed before leaves a lot to be desired. The agitation arc is no more than 80/90 degree’s compared to most UK vintage washers would be 200 upwards. The washing turn over isn’t great in my opinion, its ok for smaller items. The spinner is smallish but wide and the clear lid is an interesting design. It still has the twinline hose for emptying the (washer & spinner)

See the link to facebook where i uploaded some short clips of the machine in action.

Cheers
Keith
