This great looking Candy Turbomatic Washer/Dryer came in today, wow i thought what great retro styling (and build qaulity), it weighs a ton.
I am so tempted to save it, but i already have enough on the go and i am trying to make space in my garage.

Here are a few fots, I am at work tomorrow so maybe i will change my mind..........

Oh how nice! :)

I've always been a fan of old Candy machines, maybe you can bring it home and play with it a little bit

Tempting

It is tempting but if i bring it home and start looking at it i wont stop.....and as my time is limited, the sensible part of me says no.
I do think it to be a very good looking machine

hotpoint 95622

800rpm spin, wow, it would take a week to dry a load in it!!

Sensible, know what you mean by that, I want that Hotpoint 18371 off ebay.
But I have had some car trouble so have no money and no room just at this moment in time.

Go on, save it, you now you want it, get some sky hooks fitted in the garage.

Tiny Drum......

...but not a weld-seam in sight. Maybe you should send the photo to Candy to remind them of how they should be making their machines ;-)

Save it, they must be rare as rocking horse poo!

What a super looking machine! I had a Turbomatic for a brief period although it was the generation after that machine. I like the ratings plate that stated 5KG wash capacity!!! I think Candy were a bit optimistic there!!! My Turbomatic to an age to dry, it had an 800rpm spin too and would take nearly 3hrs to dry a half load!

SAVE IT !!

Oh please save it!
It's so rare!
If you are not going to save it for you, my friend from Italy and I would be interested to buy it. I'm serious!
How much would it cost to send it to Italy?

Candy

I remember those from the Trident stores, solid looking, love the powder dispenser & handle, little detailed features that showed class.... and that drum is surely solid piece of kit. Looks like the layer of chip fat grease from the kitchen has kept it in relatively good nic, these where known as rust buckets!!!

Now to whip the top and back off and show us the workings!!! am assuming it has a fan heater blower and backplate condenser or was it heat and no wind only on the dryer??

Keep the Kool Machine

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Hi Gary, I'd say keep the machine coz I'm guessing there hard to come by. That's my personal opion but of course it is up to you.

This must have been from early 1980's I guess? When My Mum bought her first automatic machine from a VERY small branch of Rumbelows, it was a choice between this Candy (the washer only) and a Bendix. The Bendix looked easier to operate as it only had one dial so the Bendix won!

Confession Time

OK lads i am sorry but i didnt bring it home, i was very busy at work yesterday and I just thought i do not need another machine waiting to be looked at.
I am sorry :-(
