OH!!!

OMG!!! At end I see that...

Sorry Bert, but is the opposite as you said, the first is the Haxis from 70s and the first is the impeller from 50s...

You know, when I went to pick up my Ignis, the copule of old owners say that that was not the only TL they had got at that moment...imagine, the second one apart from the Ignis I took was JUST that Candy from 70s... I think one of the first (after 60Ignis) in Italy producing the TL... A to die for circular opening indeed!!!!!

I would really like to ask them if they still own that...but I think they do... it was stored in a cellar, not to get rid of it as soon, so it might be still there!

Another restoring to come!??!?!

Bert, I really would like to see a video of this Candy...at least of the opening system which I thik is with the sliding system as your Vedette... isn't it!?

Impellars

Lovely looking machines, any chance of a pic to see what the impeller washer is like, they look great!!! I really like the drum toploader programmer & dispener at the front..

Hi Chester and Diomède,
I love the toploader too. The Candy is the only top loader I have with a dispenser at the front, like on front washing machine. I was lucky to find it (on ebay French) in good condition and it works!
I'll make a video in few days because, before, I have a video of the brandt statomatic 47 super to put on my site.

Thank you Bert, those are wonderful machines. I love that H-axis toploader, that's a very pretty machine!

I too would love to see a picture of the inside of the impeller machine. Overhere at this club we call it "the money shot".

Questions...

Thanks and thanks again Bert for sharing this with us...great the Candy shining opening ring!!
I've only two questions for you:

- does that machine have a rubber seal which join the "cuve" (outertub) with the cabinet or it's independent?

- when you open those drums like Candy is and like some Vedette or Brandt are too, doesn't the drum move and "slip" (I mean start rotate)? I mean there it isn't any handle which you could keep the drum stand while you let the lid slide?
(= Je te demand si pandant que tu ouvre le tambour il ne se mouve pas ou il y a des system puour le tenire)

Sorry for my only two foreign languages...they're both a bit rusty...should I improve them!? Of course!

rubber seal and drum opening

Dear Diomède;

1° yes, there is a small white rubber seal which joins the tub with the cabinet;

2° and yes again, drum is like old vedette or brandt: when you puch the red button, the lid is slipping very easiliy. To close it, you rotate the door until the red button is in it.

When the drum is opened, there is nothing to keep it stand,but the system is better than with old vedette or brandt, because the diameter of the ouvertue is just the size of the drum: to drop clothes between the drum and the tub, you really do this on purpose!
