I do not like Tuna packed in oil

When I open a can of tuna packed in water, I squeeze all of the water out. Then I pour in some dry white wine, move the tuna apart in various places to make sure all of it gets bathed in the wine and let it soak for a short while before squeezing out the wine. It no longer tastes like canned tuna.

I looked in the store today and as said above the gold cans do NOT contain soy or vegetable broth. Not that much more expensive either. Not today, but specials come and go.

I've found that canned chicken fills in nicely for canned tuna for stuff like tuna mushroom casserole.

That said, I'm not bothered by soy in products. I happen to like tofu (especially in a spicy Thai curry) and I keep soy sauce handy in my kitchen and at the table at all times. I think there might be quite a bit of psychosomatic element in various claimed food allergies. Usually a placebo will fix that. LOL.
