Imagine the giant 4 paddle Norge Agitator in that small tub going at high torque. Water wouldn't stand a chance in hell of staying in that machine.

Everybody was wonderful, and--Boy-oh-boy, does the Vac club

When I won a raffle and had to pick a vacuum, I had to sit down, not knowing what to take. They waited patiently, and told me to go for the Hoover Concept. They gave me the best pick, and were so gracious, I'll never forget it. I made new friends, and learned something VERY BIG.

Cyberspace limits us. Even though some people were just as I fun as you'd expect, a few others whom I didn't really care especially for turned out to be amazing and became my best friends.

Therefore, the few you think you don't like will be the ones you love the most.

Awesome Photo's!
Thanks so much for posting them!
Jimmy, your machines look great!
It was great to see everyone in the photo's!
Good Times!

Brent, I'm so glad I went. What they say is true: these events are non-stop elevations of heart.

Leon, Steve or Jimmy told me that Mark Lightedcontrols knows someone who has the mold to make the boots. In time, you'll be in luck!

Steve, meeting and chatting with you was wild and a highlight of the tour.

Goblue, the enhanced Kevi shot is for you.

Here's a shot of the agitator

If you watch Nature and have seen smaller rays swim and studied their fins, you'll see that the Philco's moves are identical. It's uncanny and amazing when you realize that the agitator IS the aquatic creature in the washer's ocean

Now for some spooky bedtime nonsense. The actual photo of this shot has a two-headed being at exactly 9 o'clock, but close to the center. The real photos are smaller than our posted versions, so I'm going to guess at the size since I don't know it.

IT TOOK. CAN YOU SEE THE FACES BETWEEN THE RACKS? One is facing us, and hooked to it is another facing right. I knew I'd catch an alien and a spirit sooner or later. Halleluia!!!! Sweet dreams, Buddies!!!! ;'D

Geeze there were washers there too? I didn't get much past the myriad of mixers, blenders, toasters, transistor radios, hassock fan and percolators and that doesn't even include his kitchen. LOL

I'll bet you never even noticed his Toast-O-lator downstairs did ya!!!

Hassock fan??? My word, how could I have missed it? I WAS TO

Eugenio and Jethro Tull, I never saw you come in. Thanks. You're always welcome!

Pete, I see you've recovered nicely.

Come on Guys and Gals, tell me you see the faces in the dishwasher.

On the Philco washer the agitator goes in one direction only during wash. When the washer stops to reverse itself its alot like a Maytag where it locks up the transmission. The only thing is the agitator is still undulating and when the tub gets up to speed its barely noticable. When the motor shuts off and the brake kicks in then you can see the flapper moving up and down. According to the repair manual I got on Ebay for this washer it says that during agitation the agitator moves at 590 +- 15 undulations. The spin speed is the same as well. 590 rpms.
I remember my aunts Philco Ford washer would fill up to almost the rim of the tub for the large setting. Also the clothes would travel around the tub and move down at the agitator. That washer used to filter the water well since there is a water pumping ring in the agitator to pull the water thru the filter. Plus when detergent was added it was to the barrel of the agitator. The pump would then pull the detergents and mix it with the water and travel down the holes at the base of the tub and back up into the washbasket. I do remember that her wash wasnt all that clean from the washer. Plus she used Cheer and alot of it. Never measured it just poured it. My parents had a Speed Queen and our wash was always much cleaner especially socks and unmentionables. I hope to find one someday thats in a good shape...but as time goes on they are harder to come by.

The Philco DOES agitate during spin...............

Yes Mike, you are exactly right about the Philco "undulating" during the start of the spin cycle. There was some talk while the guys were here that the Philco was not suppose to do this, but that is incorrect. It is indeed supposed to "undulate" during spin from the design of the mechanism. The Philco manual describes it as such:

I only inferred undulation because small rays swim fast and a school of them looks like 20 or 30 of what I saw in your basement. Now seeing what the engineers actually call it confirms the inference. The huge Manta Rays swim slowly, but the curve of their wings is a dead ringer for the curves in the Philco, and their wings are BLACK, just like your Philco. If I had access to the video of small rays swimming, it would be hysterical and enlightening. Interesting, the other color rays come in is gray, just like fins under the black ones. Someone at Philco was a Manta lover. The large Mantas allow divers to grasp their cape to hitch a ride; I hope to do so before I die. I have love them all my life.

Thank you so much for your spectacular wash-in. It was pure heaven for me.
If ever there was a dream machine, it is the Philco Undulator. THREE OR FOUR slow spin full-flush sprays undulating with pauses between--ECSTASY. At first, I truly thought I was "seeing things." And to have this happen after the wash and the rinse--INSANE. One can only imagine what happens during the Wash 'n Wear cycle. Care to share?

.

I would absolutely love to see one of these Philco's in action someday, not to mention have one of my own. Maybe I'll get to see Mark's next time I go up to Virginia... I can't imagine these wouldn't clean well with all of that turnover???

It was a stand-out, JON, turquoise porcelain; with more ligh

EDDIE, Thanks, I'd love to have them too. If the fabulous two happen to come through, I'll grab the Philco and send the Kelvi on to Maine.

MIKE, the famous blond lady had a pair of soiled white summer slacks, and they came out spotless. She wanted me to use cold water, but I used warm with Gain.

JOEL sooner or later we'll get a movie, and then everyone will be howling to get one. The washing and rinsing are as good as it gets. Mark has the "Jukebox Hero" model, and I can't wait to see that too.

I think that with the Philco its in how its loaded with clothes. My aunt used to pack it and that could be the reason why her clothes came out the way they did. Someday I will get my mitts on a Philco Ford washer. The ones I have seen in the past when they were at the appliance place I check out often have the flapper missing...totally worn away from use. Parts are not easy to come by thats for sure.
On the Maytag dishwasher cube...I saw one of those at Eatons in Toronto when Maytag came out with the pop up tower and made the dishwasher like everyone else...cups on top and plates on bottom. They added a bit too much water to the cube and when it ran you couldnt see the racks. The water action was unreal and powerful. All I could see was white water jets hitting the walls. Kinda wish at the time I had a camera to film it in action.
I have seen a Kelvinator in action and honestly I wouldnt want it. Now the Philco would get my nipples hard!

Hard Nipples :'D I hear ya' Mike

Knew there had to be a reason why Auntie's clothes weren't as clean, because the Philco is a superb cleaner. I saw it with my own eyes, speaking of which:

Can you see the faces between the shelves, just under the third "window" in the top shelf from the left, or are my eyes going.
