Cascade w/ phosphates sightings

Bayonne NJ...ShopRite, Deals $5.00 and Less, and Family Dollar, I know ShopRite is a NYC area chain, don't know if any of you guys have Deals or Family Dollar by you. I live in an apartment and have a Craigslist find portable 18" Kenmore D&M dishwasher. It normally does an excellent job as my hot water here is literally scalding. I first noticed the difference as soon as I finished my last box of Cascade with phosphates,the dishes were not clean at all and heaven forbid I left a bit of pasta or a few grains of rice on something, it would be glued to something else in the dishwasher. I came home today and used the GOOD Cascade, everything is sparkling and shiny now...I'm happy!

Thank God! The little ethnic store around the corner from my house has Cascade powder with phosphates. I counted 10 boxes so I bought 1 and am going back for more this week!

I was shocked when I went into Target and there was a lone battered box of Cascade on the shelf and you know I did not pass that up!

Just scored 10 boxes...

from forum member Tim (thanks again). Was happy to see them arrive. Glasses were coming out of the KD-12 looking like they'd been left sitting full of milk and the plates, and silverware were just funky.

Found some of the hanging baskets of JetDry, and now with the real Cascade, we're back to having clean dishes.

2003 era Electrasol

Spotted four boxes of 2003-4 era Electrasol Powerballs in the return basket at work. And they were cheap - $2.97

Terry and I saw Cascade with 6.4% phos. at Big Lots here, but for $6 we kept walking.

2003-2004 Electrasol Tabs

Am not surprised they were in the return basket. If one's past experiences are the case, they are prolly hard as hockey pucks by now.

For some reason even with being plastic sealed and in a canister/box the tabs one had in the stash turned rock hard. Cannot say how long it took, but have had powdered detergents decades old that still flowed easily.

Thanks to BJ's Club's poor inventory rotation methods, the south philly BJ's club still has 110 pac containers of the Cascade Action Pacs with phosphates. They also have the new, non-phosphate version with a lighter green container, and non-phosphate containers with pink lids. Similar to pic below, but 110 pacs - for $19.99

Isn't it funny that soon Phosphate Dishwasher detergent will be like Elvis and only sighted at out of the way 7-11 stores.

Spottings in Denver

Scored three tubs of Cascade Complete pacs with phosphates. The King Soopers I shop at doesn't do a good job of rotating, because I also saw pre-Finish Electrasol Gelpacs and Tabs.

Last week there was a whole pallet of Cascade with bleach with 6.6% phosphate at Big Lots. I bought several boxes. I used some in a DW load yesterday and I was not impressed. It seems to clean about as well as Walmarts Great Value DW detergent.
