Have always used just regular clay litter until Melvin, he is using clumping litter and is very happy with it. He is, however, very possessive of his box, and will jump in and try to cover things back up as I am scooping.
I do want to point out a slight misnomer. There is no such thing as owning a cat, so to say a cat owner would be referring to a cat who owns you. Now that would be correct.
I have wondered if we were visited from outer space what they would think of the Cat/human relationship. We house them, feed them when they want, scoop their poop so they have a clean box, give them all kinds of toys to enrich their lives. In return they sleep 23 1/2 hours a day and sun themselves on your dining room table.
