Whirlcool, my Mirro dates back to the 60's but is super low mileage for a cooker that old. I guess at some point the lids maybe do warp in that same spot if you're having the exact same problem. You must have had plenty of water in yours to allow it to go for 10 minutes before sealing itself. I would have been out of water by then for some of the things I cook and that's why I had to keep an eye on mine. No danger of it blowing up if it has a leak, but you'll smell your food burning pretty quick!

I think our Mirro was one of the BOL models.
When we cook with it, we always cover the food with the liquid. Not too much but just enough to cover the food being cooked. When we are done cooking, there is usually about 1/2" of liquid left in the bottom of the pot.

I also have a pressure cooker it is a Revere ware stainless steel with a copper bottom the first one I bought at the thrift store was with out a gasket. I thought no problem will get one at the store. No such luck ! Wrote to the company and was told they stopped making them early eighties. Later I found another one with the gasket. I have had it for some time and never used it, no booklet or manual. A friend was in town from KC this weekend and gave me the basis. These are both 4qt and I'm now kicking myself because I passed up a 6qt because it had no gasket. This was all before I had found you guys and gals.

I wonder if any of the fun people might have any ideas on where I can get my hands on a gaskets, and insturstion manual.

Were these any good Tol or Bol.

Also I'm looking for some recipes any one have a good Swiss steak recipe for a PC?

I have one I got at a thrift store. It has three pressure settings,it seems to be well made. It doesn,t have a lid lock when under pressure,but it works fine. Gaskets are hard to find they come up on ebay every so often.
