I genuinely have my doubts
about that video clip. Tomorrow, I am taking a fresh batch of kernels, a small hot plate and pot, a plastic container known to be microwave permeable along to my first lecture...
Since ascertaining the pop-a-bility of corn without complicated diagnostic equipment is, by definition, destructive, we will have to settle for random distribution of kernels from a source known to generally produce a given distribution of pop and too-pooped-to-pop.
I shall ask my students to circle up their cell phones to broadcast. It is a bit tougher here, because G3 begins low and goes to high only if necessary, but there should still be enough "old fashioned" cell phones in a group of 70+ people.
I'll report back...
