I may just have scored a Chambers range for FREE! I was posting some pics of my vintagey stuff on my facebook page last night, lamenting not having a Chambers range. One of my old high school classmates answered me saying she has an "old Chambers range" in her basement, and that I'd have to get it out somehow! I don't know any of the details of the unit yet, but I will keep you posted!

When you move the stove, it is best to take the side panels off first. They attach with a couple of screws on the back and bottom and slide down and backward to remove. If you have room to work, you might also want to take the backsplash off. Watch the legs, they bend easily.

Household models weigh 450-500 pounds. My imperial is 800-900+ pounds.
