Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Definitely late 70s to 1980. In 1981 I believe they stopped with the more flowery looking print which you see denoting the water level and temp knobs in the ad photos, and only used the standard print like that which names the cycles. The tub changed that year too to a slightly smaller one with a different hole pattern than the large cap tubs of 70s model Kenmores.

Have a good one,

This might be an opportunity to make some money! That dryer looks nice enough that I am thinking you could spiff it up and sell it alone for about $75, then you'd have a free washer to play with and $25?

That is a very common washer, or it was. They were offered with that exact outward appearance, down to the last detail, in 60 series, 70, and 80. The only difference being the series number in the far left corner.

The 60 was a 1980 model with Penta-Swirl and manual filter (that would be fun to find) and painted top and lid.

The 70s were two 1979 models that had self-cleaning filters, porcelain lids but painted tops, and Penta-Swirls. One had an off-balance buzzer and one did not.

The 80s were a very common 1979 model that had all the 70 features, plus a DA. I have one of those as my daily driver, and three more in the warehouse, lol.
