I was at my local appliance parts store looking for new brake pads for my basket drive in my Kenmore, #11072693430. One of the guys says "I think I might have one complete basket drive from years ago in the back". It took him about ten minutes to find it and he walks out and says "what do you think about that". A complete brand new basket drive (clutch, brake, brake yoke, bearings and seals, all of it). I was in awe. He didn't know what to charge me because it's one of those items that he didn't even have a price for. He says "how does thirty five bucks sound". I said "done". I am putting it in this weekend. I am totally stoked!

Ugh that is so delicious Ethan! Congratulations, there is absolutely nothing like brand new old stock parts all shiny and ready to go.

Always Great To Find Good Parts

The one you got is rebuilt but hopefully it will work fine, it looks like even the spin-tube is used by the wear marks on it.

The basket-drive you have is the older non fast-break design with the full size clutch lineing, sometimes with these it is difficult to get the clutch to slip properly as the spin basket comes up to speed.

Hope you get it working properly.

Those water marks went away after I cleaned the shaft and took off the clear tape holding the instructions on. The guy I bought it from said it was new old stock. The inside of the tube looks new as well. Either way it's new to me.
