That dryer was originally paired with the 24" DD washer.

You will notice the absence of the lint screen on top which tells you that it is based on the 24" compact dryer with the rear bulkhead-mounted lint screen.

I saw a dryer just like that for sale on Craigslist in the Lon Angeles area. I created a thread called Whirlpool/Kenmore 24" dryers, and someone said there wasn't such a thing, but I guess there is now.
