A few weeks ago I got a trial size packet in the mail. It was enough for three loads of laundry. We tried it just this week.
I used it on a load of blacks (pants, uniform socks, dockers). I also used it on some darker shirts and flannel pajamas. Since these kind of clothes don't show the dirt anyway I can't comment on cleaning ability. But one of the items washed was a black acrylic pullover sweater and it looked as good as new, no fading to note.
But I will comment on the uh, fragrance. It has an unusual fragrance. Kind of like dry cleaning, or dry cleaning and peaches or something. Not offensive, but very different. When the clothes were done they smelled like new clothes (men's shirts, etc) do when you remove them from the plastic when you first get them. Not a strong smell, you have to put your nose on the fabric to smell it. It certainly won't stink up your closet.
Now we found it to be relatively low sudsing. Not as low as Persil, but maybe about the same as All HE. We didn't have any rinsing issues either. It rinsed right out with no leftover suds. If we bought the smallest bottle available, it may last us a year! We don't wear many dark clothes while at home.
