We had

Fried pies pretty often, but only apple, I never saw any other kind until I was grown, Grandmother fried them in the electric frying pan in 1 stick of margarine and some Crisco, I wish I had her touch, hers always looked like something in a magazine, The last time I tried them I got so mad I threw pan and all out the back door!

Love, Love, Love

Love fried pies! Around here it was always apple and peach. With big peach orchards 40 minutes away, there was peach everything!!! And in the fall with apple orchards up near the mountains, it was apple everything. So it is nice to see a chocolate fried pie recipe. Thanks Ron.

RE Peach!

If anyone here has never experienced a South Carolina or Georgia Georgia Belle peach, you dont know what you are missing, totally different than those yellow canned things!

I'll Never Forget....

....My first fried pie.

It was Summer of 1959, and our house was close to completion after a rebuild made necessary by a fire that January.

The fried pie was peach, and it was a rare treat; my parents weren't much on coddling kids with sweets. It probably had something to do with how busy they were at the time.

Anyway, it was given to me just as the repainting of my bedroom was being finished; the smell of latex paint and the aroma/taste of the fried pie were wonderful.

A new scent for Airwick

Hmmmm I wonder what they would think. It sure sounds catchy enough-

A new room deodorizer by Airwick- guaranteed to last 30 days.

Fried Pie & Paint! (different pie flavors/ paint colors to choose your own scent)

Sandy- you'd be able to relive your childhood. ;)

Ok, now someone help me find me mind....I've seem to have lost it somewhere.

lmao

Okay, I'll Confess:

Whenever I have to paint, I make it my business to go get a fried peach pie to eat after I'm through with the work and the paint is drying.

And when I do that, I'm six years old again, and nothing bad has ever happened to me, and nothing bad ever will.

Proust can have his damn madeleines, LOL.

Better have some fried peach pies at my worksite-some of the transmitters and walls are being painted!A contractor is doing the painting-a guy thats paints cars.So far he is doing a good job.Transmitters are painted French Racing Blue and Porcelean White. The walls are going to be Eggshell White.

Those look DELISH and I can almost smell the peaches!

Not the real thing, but a quick treat:

Spoon a little Nutella into the center of a wonton skin. Moisten the edges of the skin and fold over to form a triangular pocket, press out any air, and press the edges well to seal. Drop in 325F neutral oil for about a minute until the skins are GBD (golden brown and delicious). Drain and sprinkle with 10x sugar and/or cocoa powder!
