as many of you know music plays a big part in my life and the last thread like this I got some great posts.

So choose the song in the next following catagories...

1) Im not ashamed to say I sing in the shower, do you? Sing what?

2) Personal one.. hmmm some of us have lost something and like others I had a cd playing. what was on that CD? LOL dont answer if you feel its too personal. BTW im not a perv, just curious.

3) The song that puts you in the holiday mood or makes you want to nip off to Thomas Cook to book one?

4) A song thats depressing yet makes YOU happy. It is possible.

5) That annoying song played at weddings where you end up dancing with your female cousin (if your male) or male cousin (if your female).

for the answers to mine.....

1) This week for me its been "Come Live With Me" by Heaven 17
last week it was "No Tommorow" by Orson

2) I had a NOW something album playing from 2004 and me and Sarah (my ex) got together to "Give it Away" by Deepest Blue- how apt the title was. LOL!

3) very cheesey choice but it works for me, well both do. Bananarama "Cruel Summer" or Wham! and "Club Tropicana".

4) A-ha, The Sun always Shines on TV

5) Johnny Hates Jazz - Shattered Dreams. YUK YUK YUK
Give me Curiosity Killed the Cat any day!

1) Ave Maria (yes its true)
2)hmmm, hard to remember, think it was Boyzone- No Matter What
3)Agadoo or Macarena lol
4)Learn To Be Lonely- Minne Driver (Soundtrack to modern Phantom Of The Opera)
5)Grease MegaMix

oxydolfan1--- You lost your virginity to Frankie Teardrop by Suicide?! How the hell did you manage to concentrate on what you were doing? That song is the aural equivalent of a horror film. Many, MANY bonus points for even referencing it.

Hmmm.

Shower song: "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Outta My Hair" from "South Pacific," or "We're All Alone," with Boz Scaggs phrasing, and Rita Coolidge's arrangement.
Sometimes, a favourite hymn, like "God of Grace and God of Glory," or "Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee."

Virginity: Most of The Beatles' blue album (1967-1970).

I think aquarius might have meant "holiday" in the "vacation" sense. If so:

"Money and Cigarettes" by Eric Clapton, for "I've Got A Rock and Roll Heart."

Cheerful depression song? I agree with "Love Will Tear Us Apart," or "Cars" by Gary Numan.

Wedding song I don't like? "The Wedding Song!" ("There is Love"-- Paul Stookey)

I actually rather like "The Chicken Dance," and I participate in it! Also "The Hokey-Pokey."

I should have known better---my Dad was from England and I grew up with British terminology. I still slip every once in awhile, as when my nephew's son and I were in the grocery store last weekend and I asked him to "grab a trolley" instead of a cart.

Between my Dad's British terminology and my Italian mother's very broken English I'm surprised my sister and I did well with language/writing in school, LOL!

Frig....It was just what happened to be on the stereo at the time.

It was on three rooms away anyway...my mom worked nights but had a way of "unexpectedly" showing up home early. We had one of those long, Brooklyn railroad-style apartments, and the idea was to divert her attention down the hall towards my room and the stereo.....while I and the object of my affections got down on the living-room sofa!

Shameless? Perhaps. I had better things to do then to be found hanging from a tree in Prospect Park the next morning...

Incidentally, Alan Vega was and is an amazing artist.

Oxydolfan

Why oh why did you have to mention Wham! : ) I just had to dig out my Wham album to listen to Everything she wants. Well it lead to singing "Im your man in the shower', which then led me to think of a girl I saw in Marks and Spencers last week she "saw me too if you know what I mean lol. So now im in the dilemma do i go and spend some dough in there and ask her out or go to bed? I work nights you see so it would mean a late night for me LOL. How things lead from one thing to another . . . Nick
