Choose the song that...

You would play while doing laundry....

Stoned Soul Picnic - The 5th Dimension. That song just makes me want to do a Kenmore Wash'n'wear cycle over and over again.

1) I Don't feel Like Dancin' - Scissor Sisters
2) Probably most REM stuff
3) Heaven - both DJ Sammy and Bryan Adams versions
4) Lisa Stansfield, Eternal, Spice Girls, most 90s stuff really! Oh and Dire Straits - Walk Of Life - always seem to link this with going to the old California Car Wash at Pelham Bridge in Lincoln (Darren, Kirk - any of you Lincolners remember that??)
5) Sinead O'Connor - Nothing Compares To You

Fascinating idea there.

1) Dancefloor (I am always sober, so that does not qualify) "Lido Shuffle" by Boz Scaggs, "We're All Alone"--but only Rita Coolidge's version.

2) Anything by Shania Twain. Most post "Live to Tell" stuff by Madonna/Madge/Esther.

3) "Dark Side of The Moon" by Pink Floyd (whole album,) or "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" by the Beatles. Both of these are "happy fun creativity music" for me. Others include: "If I had a million dollars," and "Aluminum" by Barenaked Ladies.

4) Childhood? Anything by The Beatles, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan........

5) "Midnight At the Oasis," by Maria Muldaur, "The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys," by Traffic, "I Will Survive," by Gloria Gaynor, and the most cringe-worthy of this entire reply: "Total Eclipse of The Heart," by Bonnie Tyler.

6) Laundry music? Right this second, it's "Urban Hymns" by The Verve.

Lawrence/Maytagbear

No song in the world can do this.

2) Depresses you the most?

Bookends/Simon & Garfunkel

3) Brings you back up again?

Run Runaway/Slade

4) Reminds you of your childhood?

Yellow Rose of Texas/Mitch Miller

5) Reminds you of a loved one? (current, deceased or long lost up to you.)

You Light Up My Life/Debbie Boone (or whoever sang it in the film)

laundry music

well for cottons it would def be Motorhead Ace of Spades. Synthetics, Bee Gees Jive Talkin and for a Wool wash has to be Blur, The Universal. How mad is that! If you know these songs you may agree with me. Lol Nick
