I came home from school Monday around 2:30 or so and noticed a package sitting on the doorstep as I was pulling in. Since I was not expecting anything this week, I was curious as to what it was, and then I noticed that it was addressed from Nate in Tucson...hmmmm, I wonder what this could be?!?!

Not knowing what was inside, I opened it up and revealed three fantastic goodies. A metal Maytag sign as well as a Thor Automagic ad, which will be promptly displayed in the Studio, and the best one yet: A FRIGIDAIRE 1-18 FABRIC SOFTENER DISPENSER, complete with original box and instructions! I've wanted one of these ever since I got my 1-18, and was a bit disheartened when none turned up in our massive Frigidaire parts adventure this past summer, even though I was quite certain one would. Now I finally get to play with one, YAY! I haven't used my 1-18 in a while, so when I do my bi-weekly wash this weekend, this will be loaded up with Suavitel, properly diluted of course.

Nate, Roger, and Ross, thanks again, especially seeing as what I sent you guys pales by comparison. But remember, if you ever need any other Frigidaire parts, let me know!

Austin,

Congrats on your new prizes. I remember that exact fabric softener dispenser on our Frigidaire in 1967. And the Thor brings back memories of that machine sitting in my aunt's kitchen.

Have fun with your new toys!

nice stuff!

The unexpected gifts are always cool, and from the heart is best.
Was this from Secret Santa?

Hey, nice gifts there! If this was your secret santa gift - then wow!

It is nice to know that GM 'approved' the dispenser as an assessory, rather than, 'unapproved'. Hopefully it actually works out - let us know.

Wow....How awesome!

Those are some pretty cool gifts, I love the Maytag sign. Well, actually, I like them all a lot!

Cling-free sheets!

Hush, Greg :-D LOL

Scott gave me that dispenser originally, and I actually got a lot of miles out of it and thoroughly enjoyed it; I find that it works really well, but now that we're drifting away from static-free softness (using less softener like, ever), I figured I'd pass it on to someone else who could enjoy it too :-) (So a special thank-you thus goes to Scott!)

It never leaked into the water for me. But after getting the Cadillac, I'm thinking--doesn't everything that GM makes leak? (*ducks and runs*)

Plus, it makes the agitator look really imposing, which is cool.

Goodness, Austin!! You and your mom outdid yourselves with your gifts (plus, none of ours were edible :-D). And you'll be proud to know the Frigidaire badge lives on the dash in the xBox, and people that ride with me always comment at how fun that is. (Should transfer it to the Caddy--it would suit it, don't you think?)

Anyhow, enjoy, and thank you so much for everything--and Roger, Ross, and I will be looking forward GREATLY to seeing you again soon! :-D

So nice. The Maytag sign/crest is interesting. I'm guessing by the arm and hourglass it supposed to signify strength and what? time savings? Are you framing all the ads as well to put on your studio wall?
