I found this site while looking for info on Christmas lights. Found it pretty interesting reading. I had no idea the mini lights were around that far back! I thought they came out in the 1980s. The info on the fused plug types was also interesting.

I have some mini lights (I guess) from around 1970 that have a screw base. I've never been able to find replacements and I don't see any on the site fan-of-fans linked. Does this ring any bells for anyone? It's just that using them was a Christmas tradition for many years.

Edited to add: Unless they are the E5 bases mentioned under the "rarities" tab. However, mine are 120 volts.

My parents have a set of the screw in mini lights that they use to light the little vintage cardboard Christmas village houses set up on the fire place mantle each year. Finding replacements for them in the correct voltage is a pain, so when they burn out I solder new bulbs into the old bases.

I see. Yes, mine are used to light up some little cars, roughly like Model T coupes, if Model T coupes came in yellow, pink, and green. I may try that.
