GE Washing Machine - $50 (Landis)

Older (made in the 1970s) GE washer that still has lots of life left in it. Runs exactly like it did when it was brand new except the cold water fills a little slow. Comes with rubber hoses and plastic drain hose. As mentioned before, this is an older washer - it isn't water or energy efficient by today's standards and it runs loudly during the spin cycle...however, it still cleans clothes well.

1968 Kenmore Dryer

Sears Kenmore- Solid State Electric Dryer--$40
Vintage- they don't makem' like this no more! NO digital junk!
IT WORKS WELL. Recently started making a loud noise (if you are handy it may need some adjusting of something--but it does work.) Some scuff marks and rust on the bottom-- it is an older model, but most repair people will say it is easier to fix than the digital ones.

The Hotpoint was originally in the same ad from where I got the Whirlpool dryer. I didn't even look at it when I went to get the WP. But I now see its very basic as you say.
