Hello All-
I tried to find an answer to this question before bothering you with it, but I can't seem to find one anywhere. And when I enter my dishwasher model, the most info on it always appears from this site.
I have an old Hotpoint Potwasher dishwasher from the 1980's. I have seen other pictures of it on this website. It was a mobile version that I permanently installed. The last few weeks it has left a lot of food debris on the dishes after using it. I took the tower off by twisting it. And then behind it is a cover with a single center screw. I took that off too and cleaned it out. But there is a two cups full of water that drop below the base of the dishwasher that seem to be connected by a secret tunnel underneath. (I assume this because the water levels seem connected to each other.)
Is there a way to clean this area out? or is there a food trap that is accessible from inside the dishwasher? It would be a challenge to remove it from under the counter, but I would if I need to.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A plugged water inlet valve

Betting this machine is not filling up with enough water on fills because of a plugged inlet valve. Calcium in the water and such will cause this eventually.

Can further prove this by adding a half gallon or so of water during the wash cycle and hear it throwing more water inside.

The fill valve should be easily taken apart and cleaned on these but someone else may have further expertise here..

Thank you so much for the advice! I will wrestle it out of the spot it is in and clean or replace the fill valve. Again, I appreciate it!
