I realize that I'm a little late posting, but I serviced a kitchenaide washer that did the same on/off on/off thing during agitation. Replaced the motor start switch, works like a charm now.

I agree with Lee - great choice and I'm sure you'll be very happy with this new washer! I love the fact it's a much bigger wash tub and will hold a lot more laundry - cutting down on the number of loads. I've owned my set for over a year now and I love them as well. I agree with your Mom - I miss the warm rinse but I can live without that and I can do just what JeffG said if I want. I love the fact this washer is very quiet. So much so that I can't tell if it's washing or spinning from the top of the stairs to the basement. You'll have many years of washing ecstasy with this new machine.
