back in the 80s!
was also in a non aerosol pink spray bottle spray, it worked really well if you sprayed a little in your hands, and rubbed it thru your, to get the static electricity out!
Remember Final Touch liquid for the washer.....and you could pour it on a washcloth, and toss in the dryer for softness if you forgot to add it to the washer!.....
That was probably a can from the 70's. The graphic style the name is in was very popular 76-79 or so.
It was great for people who wore polyester, which seemed to attract static cling.
Yogi: There used to be a product called AllWays Soft which could be added to the wash, rinse, or onto a cloth and then tossed in the dryer. My mom used it for a while in the late 1970s. Am thinking it was a Texize product but I could be mistaken on that.
The same estate sale that had the Cling Free spray also had these boxes of White King soap and C-20 detergent. The White King soap was a favorite of mine until it disappeared from store shelves in the late 1990s so I was pretty stoked to find an unopened box of it. The C-20 is another story. It's most likely from the 1970s or early 1980s at the latest. It was made locally by Mt. Hood Chemical, and my grandmother Claire had a box sitting on her laundry room shelf for years. It's a very dense controlled-sudsing powder (Claire had a WH front loader) but it has a strong chemical-type smell, nothing that could be mistaken for pretty. I was super thrilled to find this box (opened but nearly full) as it's been 20 years or so since I've seen this brand and never any references to it. Just like grandma Claire did, I'll probably use it a few times and then just leave the box on the shelf for old times sake. The White King, however, will get used! Lol
