If only the dryer was gas
Ben it is not that difficult to convert this dryer to gas if you really want this dryer, just part out a similar age MT dryer, we have done this at least 50 times going from electric to gas and gas to electric.
I remember my old MT representative who moved from Iowa with a MT Highlander gas dryer to Maryland to a new all electric house in Annapolis. So rather than buy a new dryer he just ordered the parts from MT and converted it to electric [ he left the gas burner assembly in place and saved the extra parts in case he ever moved again to a house where he could have a gas dryer again ]. One time when he was away on business his wife said the dryer had stopped heating so Richard called a local MT service Co. to fix it. When the young guy went down to the basement he popped open the little access door for the gas burner and declared to Richards wife , lady your pilot is out, not even noticing that there was no gas line and there was a 240 dryer cord plugged in above the dryer.
