Nice coffee pot display!

I've got several in my living room. I don't "collect" coffee pots, although I guess I know that 2 or more of something IS a collection! But they have turned up at good prices, and are a cheap way of getting something vintage. Plus decorating with coffee pots is relatively rare.

Well, I have them all over and most are not even in my house. That blue West Bend is the same color as the tea kettle we had when I was growing up. One day when my little brother was creeping around the kitchen while learning to walk, he partially turned on the gas under the kettle. I have never gotten a clear story from my mother as to whether or not the burner lighted, but whatever happened, it turned the sides a funny purple. Several years ago, my lifetime search ended when I found a blue TRIG teakettle MIB on eBay! I was the only one who bid on it! Such joy.

I got to see the Syphonator in person at the Thomas Edison winter home and museum in Ft. Myers, FL. You are the only other person I know of that has one! Amazing.

I see you also have a Crosley dishwasher plate. They must have made way too many of those and coupled with Avco's pulling the sale of Bendix away from Crosely and selling instead to Philco, it's a wonder that the double crossed Crosley dealers did not throw all of them against the wall in anger.

Its Funny!

I love coffee makers, but you would have to hold a shotgun on me to even get me to taste the nasty stuff, smells great, tastes horrible to me....Im an iced tea drinker!!LOL

Hans, I am in total agreement. I love the aroma of ground coffee & the fragrance of coffee brewing, but I don't want to drink a drop. Hot tea and iced tea I love. The plus side is we don't wear out our treasures with daily use.
