I get annual flu shots.

I also get about every 10 years the following vaccines:

Pneumonia, tetanus, whooping cough (pertussis).

Also got a shingles vaccine shot as soon as I turned 60.

I used to work in an immunology research lab. I'm convinced the major vaccines are an extremely good idea. They might not always prevent contracting the disease they are designed to prevent, but they certainly improve the odds in one's favor.

I NEVER ...

... get flu shots.

EVER.

I've never had a flu shot and never had the flu.

I rarely get colds, either. I attribute this to eating clean (only real, natural, "whole" foods), and getting plenty of sleep (at least 8 hours a night). I also take a high quality plant-based vitamin, as well as probiotics and a glyconutrient.

When I feel a cold coming on, I take at least 2 teaspoons of raw honey and eat at least one orange (never drink oranage juice unless I squeeze it myself). That usually nips it right in the bud.
