Really neat and rare fridge. But we just saw a virtually identical fridge that was posted in Wisconsin a couple of months ago... the only difference is that it had the unusual pull out vertical shelving panel in the fridge. It's rare enough to see one of these, now two! Maybe the third (things do come in threes) will be closer to you, Hans!

If this is a '57 model, it was made by Whirlpool-Seeger Corp. in the Evansville, IN factory.

I would jump on the potential third one if it showed up within reasonable driving distance from me.  These are awesome refrigerators and are a great reflection of how over-the-top Sears could get with its top of the line house brand models.

 

I don't recall if I asked this about the other one that was posted here recently, but would the freezer be a true zero degree type like on a GE Combination from the same period?  Any chance the freezer would have a drain for easy defrosting?
