Kenmore top freezer French door refrigerator

This was made prior to 1970 was a neat design. I’m sure somebody cut and put the stainless steel panels in the doors that was not an option at the time.

I love that the frost in the freezer doesn’t hurt anything, actually, it will keep the refrigerator section from cooling properly and the freezer won’t cool well or evenly either. so it does have a problem could be as simple as a bad timer, but it does have a problem.

This would also be a very expensive refrigerator to run it would easily use more than 200 kW a month.

My Aunt had the French door bottom freezer version from 1966. It had a nameplate on the right door that said, customer built by Sundburg Ferar for Victoria, I always thought that was neat. The doors were wood grained, looked like paneling with barn door hinges painted on them.

My folks also had a 1966 French Door bottom freezer in coppertone with icemaker. French Provincial handles and a nameplate with our last name on it. That refrig lasted 33 years before it quit. Sears repaired the drain trough once, and I replaced the noisy evap fan once. It was an energy hog, though! Loved that refrigerator, so different than the usual refrigerator at the time.
