Ah Michael, with people in your life like Jeff, and by extension Tom A., Fred and etc., your vacuum fun I know is only beginning. No one can have just one.
BTW, Jeff kind of started my collection as well. I told him about a denim Convertible I'd seen and he strongly suggested I go back to get it. The rest is history! I downsized a lot upon coming to Cali, but still have many nice Hoovers!
Seriously, all I did was take Michael into Hooverland and turn the lights on, the rest is his! He thinks the hobby is cool, and really likes the old 1920's models. He's also definately an upright person. After buying me a Miele Champagne for Valentines day he vacuumed with it once and then proclaimed "I F**KING hate this thing"
Not a canister person at all...
Maybe washers are next, he did pretty much stand and watch my Maytag go thru a complete cycle once, and he was fascinated by the Frigidaire 1-18 and Unimatics he saw in Tucson.
I'm happy he enjoys my hobby, I know we can go to any gathering and he'll have fun.
Thats what its all about right?
You are so right Jeff! At the two gatherings I have been to with you and Michael he seems to fit right in. I think this is wonderful. You are a very lucky guy!
It's all over with now but the crying... you might as well start moving furniture...clear out a room... build some shelves... add a few outlets...don't have to be high amperage if your sticking with older models...
Now if the washers and dryers have bitten,,, well that is a bit more costly... wiring and plumbing for those items just a little more costly and my cause you to park the car on the outside of the garage... but you don't mind scraping frost...right...
Tom is right... you need to sign up on Vacuumland.org and send your membership dues to the VCCC... because Omaha will be the best spot in town to add to your all ready growing collection...
Jeff, you need to help this man out...(HINT HINT) don't you have some vacuums that need more room...so yours can grow...
The basement has already been mapped out, once the old GE freezer goes there is room for at least THREE more washer/dryer sets, and I think Michael will probably sell the shredmore set he currently has, so make that 4 sets!
As for the vacuums, he's got that figured out too. The collection will be split between the basement and the room above the garage.
For those wondering why Michael hasen't responded its because he's on a trip to Cancun with his sister and a friend of hers. Michael's sister was invited to a wedding in Cancun and didn't want to go alone, so he went with her.
I was invited to go too, but didn't have the vacation time from work or the $$$.
He'll be back Monday afternoon. I miss him!
Are you ready to hop on a plane and help this poor man out..
I am guessing we can gather a few from the mid-west to help him move out furniture set up shelves... if you can help with the wiring that would be great...
Perhaps you can keep Jeff occupied...while I help move some of his vacuums....right on up to Iowa...ooopss was that my outside voice talking..
