Comfort Lift Dishwasher

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I've seen that a while ago indeed. It looks very convenient, but there are a few downsides. This system takes up space in the bottom rack. It's also in the way when you want to pull out the upper drawer, so if you are used to having both drawers open, it's a bit of a PITA. It's also in the way for reaching the salt container and the filter.

Aside from this all, I read in the test from the Duth consumer organisation that this dishwasher isn't very good at keeping itself clean. I'm not very keen on later AEG dishwashers anyway.

That one-handed mechanism reminds me of what's used to raise/lower my upper rack on my Kenmore Elite.  Am I to assume the ComfortLift feature isn't option such that one can select to slide the bottom rack  out onto the door rather than lift it up if you so choose?  If it would allow that, then gives the flexibility of loading such as Luigi pointing out you have to slide the racks in and out depending upon whether you want to load the bottom or top rack.

Absurd

Again, does anyone pay attention these days?

ok, so it can use plain jane circulated air to dry dishes, thus saving money and energy.  That's lovely. I mean it really blows up my skirt.  Has to be the most exciting thing since sliced bread.

But I also saw 4 that's right 4 additional products to "enhance the functionality of the dishwasher".

Say what?

4 products that consume raw materials, energy, and packaging to be disposed of that the customer is supposed to use so this thingamajig machine can function at the basic task of washing dishes? Where are the energy savings?

For a while now I believed most americans are plain stupid. I'm shocked and saddened that our lack of consumer intelligence is spreading across the Atlantic.

But you still need to bow down to get the rack up plus I think it can get dangerous if there are a few heavy pots and pans on the bottom rack, what if the mechanism just disengages, talking abbout law suites in USA.

Just my take on it, but really glad to see that AEG is stepping up to the plate and it looks like they are inventing again.

Regards
