If you are coming from the East (DC, NJ, PHL), use Exit 67 of the PA Turnpike and head 8 miles east on US 30...its worth the trip.

Sure is coming fast!

Toll-saving route from DC/Baltimore

At Hancock, MD, don't go to Breezewood on I-70...get on I-68 and follow it to US219, then go north so Somerset and get back on the Turnpike. The new expressway part from Meyersdale to Somerset is now open, with just 5 miles of 2-lane from I-68 to the new expressway. Save on tolls, and the Breezewood nightmare, the climb from New Baltimore to the Allegheny Tunnels, plus it only takes 10 minutes longer.

When Mike and I went to Martin's Wash In, we used this route and went around Baltimore to the Del Mem Bridge and saved $32 in tolls vs using the PA Turnpike, even with the tolls on the bridge on 95, Del Tpk, and the Del Mem Bridge and the PA Turnpike from PGH to Somerset

Important update to directions to the Lincoln Highway Hub, after exiting the PA Turnpike at Irwin, you want to head WEST on US30..
