I've not been posting that much lately but with good reason:  Hubby and I are in the process of fixing up the garage in Ogden so that it can be used to store the vintage washers and dryers that are not in active service.

It's been a heck of a lot of work - we needed to insulate, add vapour barriers, then put up the drywall.  But it's coming together now...

Exclusive sneak preview

So far, just the unrestored 'orphans' have been set against the new display wall.  However, I should be able to get 14 machines in there which will mean that I will no longer need my off-site storage unit... for now... LOL

Seriously, I will have to do some thinning of the herd - I have WAY too many Whirlpool washer motors and possibly one MobileMaid too many...  Stay tuned as I figure out what may need to find a new home.

Oh, Paul...

You'll always have to keep that Top Secret Offsite location Storage Unit just for the "Ooops... Look what I found" stuff. LOL

Looks great. I understand I might have to bring a extra Lobster Roll to Boston soon ??? Hmmmm ?????

Oh and I guess I'll have to bake a extra of one of these...

Looks fantastic Paul...

but I have two burning questions,

1. Does this mean no more "stern face" from Hubby?
(I quite liked that, you know)

and

2. What have you been cooking for him to accomplish this?

You're a lucky guy!

Bill

Phew, it's been a busy week...  We're more than halfway done the ceiling now, which I think will be the worst!

Greg, those 57s have been my 'next project' for nearly 2 years now...  However, after this project is done, I really want to focus on the machines I've not gotten to play with in a while.

Christina, thanks for the encouragement!  I really can't wait to get this all done and set up.  I've got to get it done before the snow flies up here, though!

Phil, Thank you!!  If all goes the way I am hoping, we'll probably be moving items in early September.  That may include a Maytag set to a certain condo in Montreal too... LOL

Jon, when did you say you were coming to visit??  (ducks and runs)

Eddie, I may need to keep an off-site storage unit just for parts!  I had no idea how many I had accumulated...   I need to get down there for a Lobsta roll soon, too!!

Chris, you're way overdue for a visit to Canada too, you know...

Bill - we'll see about whether there's no more stern faces from Hubby after this weekend.  However, I've been told that if I can keep the vintage washers and dryers to the one wall it's mine (recall Jon's comment about the high ceilings... LOL).   As for cooking for him, I think it was the fresh cherry pie last week that mellowed him.... LOL

Cornutt -  When we built the garage, I put in a 100-amp box and there's LOTS O ROOM on it still!  There's a cold water supply from the house but drainage is an issue.  We're on a septic tank and the city would not allow the garage to be hooked up to it. However, for demonstrations and repairs,  a tub or two of water can run down the driveway.

Now, back to the garage...

Wow Paul that's quite a project, but it's awesome!

So when's the big wash-in???
