Compact 30cm deep

This is my small Zanker Classic CFR 2950 with 3kg load capacity and 900rpm spinning

It wasn´t use at the people where I get this and the first wash in the live this washer was at my place.
I have got the machine 2 month ago
Build in 1997 and at then first 5 loads washing (all at my place)

the washer isn´t heavy, only 44kg!!

Nice machine! Actually a 3 kg load is quite big if you weigh the clothes!
Now the only group I can think that is still making extra-slim machines is Candy/Zerowatt/Hoover, all the others I konw stop at 40 cm.
Same goes for the small Aquamatic washing machine. Only Electrolux has had something similar but way uglier looking ehehhehe

my nan has a 46cm 4kg washing machine! hers is a rare find in teh uk! nice zanker!

a few weeks ago I have gotten agreat Privileg ÖKO1001 it is a 4,5kg washer with 1000rpm and only 54cm deep

but this washer is very broken... the bearrings of the drum are broken. the Person who use this washer, washed 5years with this and now the drum has broken the stainlessteeltub have some holes and water come out... but I fix that!!!

Depth of washers

There is 3 or 4 40cm deep Candy/Hoover washing machines on the UK market, and sold everywhere Not that rarity anymore.

I am in a bad luck that in my bathroom only 40cm machine fits, so it's either a toploader, or a slim front loader, I was very unhappy because of it when I was buying a new machine So generally I don't understand why do people with kitchens, and place for a standard washers actually buy slim ones :O

There are some brands that produce machines only 60cm deep, like Electrolux, or Gorenje, and they have a 44cm line and that's it. I don't know if Miele is reducing depth by capacity..

However there are some that have a lot of depths, like Candy: 10kg-65cm 9kg-60cm 8kg-54cm 6kg 52cm,
and if slim ones 7kg 40cm, 5kg 33cm, but on slim ones drum is the same as on standard ones but the door glass, and rubber seal are less deep, so there is more place for the drum

nan has a flush wall fit kitchen and i was relating to the fact that zanussi slimline ones are a rearity not slimline ones! miele do sell a 7kg slimline washer for a lo more money than the standard models, nan wants a beko slimline washer if hers goes (touchwood it hasent been repaired through out it's 19years of washing)if she cant afford a miele.

Candy/Hoover don´t come every time at my place ( only the 80s Hoover) I hate Candy/Hoover. The washers explode at spinning...

Miele 7kg

There is a 7kg slimline Miele? How deep is it, and what is the model number?

Really in US everything is so much bigger.. washers and dryers are bigger than biggest ones here in Europe.. I don't know why is that though

Well, there is kinda fun when having a small washing machine - you wash much more times.. I remember how many more times I was washing when I had a smaller drum machine, than I have it now.. and sometimes I really get mad when I see everything's washed for less time and fun

Detergent draw

How deep the detergent draw is on that 30cm? On most machines like that I've seen they are way too small you can't even put a proper amount of detergent for that smallish load?

The 7kg Miele Washers here in germany are 67cm deep.
the detergentdrawer from my Zanker isn´t really big, only 17cm. but that is big enough

@pulsator: my aunt bought a Privileg Slimline 32 in 1993 (same as this zanker) this 3kg washer washed 12 years in a 5 person family without a Problem!! but at the end the Programmtimer was broken.

33 cm depth machines

Hi!
In italy there is a large choice of 33 cm "slim" machines (they are called like this in Italy). May be because quite a lot of people put the washing machine outside the balcony and a standard size machine 60 x 60 would be too big.
I remember Candy was the first brand to propose slim machines in Italy during the 80's, with the "Holiday" washer, as wall as Zerowatt with the "Spazio Zero"
A few yers ago you could find even LG direct drive machines 33 cm, but I think they don't sell them any longer.
I guess the drum is much too small to provide good washing and rinse results, and I remember of a comparative match in the 80's on a magazine where the Zerowatt "Spazio Zero 33" 4kg machine (33 cm depth) got very poor results compared to the othets 5kg/ 60 cm depth washers, most probably because of the drum shape.
But no doubt it must be a real pleasure watch these machines !!!! ))
