I remember this advertisment from the 80s! While I have never loaded a 2800 model I loaded quite a few GE designs MOL and BOL models. I dont dispute you can fully load all those dishes and etc, etc in the GE! I was always disappointed they didnt continue with the Potscrubber2 design but that is beside the point! My point is all that dinnerware and cookware can be loaded in the other 4 competitor models if you know how to load a dishwasher. I was fortunate enough to have used all those 4 competitor models at different times and I never had a problem loading. In fact even though I consider myself a good loader - I still think the GE was the hardest of the 5 models especially the way they had the location of the popup tower! But even with the Kenmore D&M lack of height I still got tall wine glasses in by laying them halfway down and with the broiler pan I loaded on the far left and the upper arm still turned. The KitchenAid I loaded many times and that definatly was No problem - compared to the diagram I would drop the right side of the top rack and it held tall wine glasses. You can place the thin part of the broiler pan on the bottom right! The way the upper rack was was configured it wouldnt get in the way! The thicker part of the broiler pan can be placed along the back bottom! As for the Whirlpool I had a portable power clean and I placed the wine glasses half way down much the way I loaded the kenmore D&M! I didnt have the adjustable upper rack so it was harder but can be done! A friend of mine had a close to TOL model and it was easier to load stemware in! The broiler pan was no problem going in the bottom rack! The central tower didnt get in the way of loading any type of load! I didnt mind the silverware basket in the door as long as you loaded the plates in the front the silverware cleaned well at least for me! As for the Maytag that was a real different animal. I knew a few people that had them but only one friend had a basic wu300 I loaded many times. At first she moved to this condo that had one and was so confused trying to load it! I picked up quickly and she had large heavy dinnerware with lots of serving dishes. She was used to a MOL D&M kenmore but once she got used to the maytag she liked it so much better! Putting tall wine glasses was no problem and loading all kinds of large serving dishes and cookware went in with ease! The only negative to the matag was it was the noisest! To me these were all good dishwashers! Maybe the D&M was a notch lower because of no filter!
I was wondering if more of you guys want to put your openions in. I was Lucky enough to do BOB loads in all these machines!
Thanks for listening,
Peter
