For your viewing pleasure, click on the link.  Considering it's all in beautiful shape, the $500 asking price isn't bad.

Here's the prize piece (I think):

Very nice! And I agree that their price is reasonable for the whole set in such nice shape, plus they say that they are open to an offer and that their contractor will be removing them all! The cook top has the less common (and very handy) controls in the hood. I think the fridge is a later addition, though, it is the unshaded coppertone and the handles look more like 70s+?

Yeah, I noticed the color of the fridge was different from everything else.  I can't say for sure what the vintage of these appliances is, or whether the fridge may be newer than the rest of the stuff.

Sadly, I think it's tough to find homes for pieces like these.   They're not quite old enough to be considered classic MCM, and the coppertone dosn't help either.  I hope if they don't all sell (the fridge has the most potential to), that they'll at least end up at the ReStore.

I was assuming the shaded color of the dishwasher was different from the other...? So, if you were thinking the same thing too, Ralph..maybe they were different colors? It appears the dishwasher is lighter in color...maybe it's just the lighting.

I think the fridge is newer than the other appliances.  Probably was bought later as a replacement and wwas able to get a coppertone fridge.

I agree the 'fridge is newer; in the post '77 "Coffee" color. If I remember right, GE started using that style handle in '69, as the previous years were a chrome finish.

As for the oven handles matching the refrigerators, GE used the "woodgrain" style oven handles only on the fancier models (P*7), and continued using this chrome style on the less expensive standard-clean models till they restyled the ovens around '90.

From the outside the fridge looks exactly like our 1974 including the emblem and handles. But I see the door is reversible which there is no provision for on ours. Does anyone know what year GE first installed reversible doors?

Ken, I don't know what year GE started with the reversible doors, but it must have been sometime after '77. We had a '77 Hotpoint 16 cu.ft. model (same as a GE except for trim), and it did NOT have reversible doors. The one shown also has the newer magnetic gaskets, while our didn't. It had the magnet plates at the side instead.
