For those wondering "Thermo" was marketing speak for fact these washers had dual insulated tubs much like TOL Maytag, SQ and other wringer washers. This supposedly kept water hotter longer.
That's interesting about the use of the name Thermo. Last week I washed 2 loads in hot water in my TOL Maytag Master wringer with insulated double tub, and when I went to empty and rinse out the tub I found that the water to my street was turned off. So I let the wash water sit all day, and when I finally drained the machine several hours later, I was surprised at how warm the water was after all that time.
