Cool lint trap

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I have a similar one but mine can be used either with or without an external vent outside by opening or closing a damper. Since my washer and dryer are in the bathroom, many times in the winter, I will throw my towel in the dryer and turn it on for 5 minutes. Not only a nice warm towel, but a nice warm bathroom. And for regular drying, I switch the damper to vent the moisture outside.

a mess!!

Maybe I wasn't doing something correctly..but I had one of those lint traps that's filled with water a few years ago. My old house was not plumbed for a dryer vent...it was a big mess. My walls in the laundry area and kitchen would have water running down them not to mention the lint that collected on the window sills, windows and kitchen cabs and counter. After a couple months of lint and water I got a friend to come over and help me cut a hole in the floor and vent the dryer under the house and out one of the foundation vents.

there can be multiple variations to using one of these lint traps, even for the most part you can create your own with a five gallon bucket, a lid, and cutting a few holes....biggest thing was to change the water as needed...using ice cold water also reduced the heat level...

but also consider factors of location and space.....venting in a small bathroom is not a bad thing as long as you have the exhaust fan on, or a window open

a high speed spin or seperate spinner to reduce the water in clothing can also be a help with moisture reduction....

experiment and find what works best for you
