Great Fun... Thanks for sharing it

I especially love the Cadillac "Sedanette" and the Edsels and the '49 Olds. I could go on!

Really wonderful design on these automobiles... had the privlige of riding in a pristine '69 Buick Riv this weekend. What a great car. It has been in the owner's family since it was brand new - it was his dad's car - has less than 55,000 miles on it!

I have to say, the least copycat and most forward design has to go to Studebaker for it's era. The 1950 Starlight and the 1953 Commander were amazing designs unlike any other. I have never seen either except in these photos. They would be major head turners in any auto show today. Too bad the company did not last.

Yeh, I got the same message. But then I'm not the computer wiz some of us are. But then, maybe they (computer geeks)can't get around it either! ...

No problem with the link here. Beautiful stuff. We had a white '57 Lincoln Premiere 4-door landau when I was a kid. It had an aqua & white interior. Beautiful car but it was the biggest lemon in automotive history. It didn't stop my dad from buying more Lincolns over the years though. That '57 was an exceptionally cursed car, but on the flip side, the clean low mileage '65 he bought as a "work car" back in 1971 was the most faithful car one could ever own and was exceptionally well built. That one is with a collector somewhere in Michigan now.

Great Pics

And I never met a Thunderbird I didn't love. Ok I really wasn't that fond of the 83 to 86. What a beauitful '59 convertable, those were the days my friend.

Great site!

Enjoyed every single picture, specially the Cadillacs.

Now that everything GM is memory, please watch this GM and Frigidaire commercial from 1961. It must be the worst commercial I have ever seen in my whole life! But then, the cars are beautiful, so are the Frigidaire appliances. My wife and I tried to load the dishwasher just like they do in the ad, but we had not the same luck!

Definitely beautiful, although it's amazing how sensibilities change over time. I bet to many young people, the size and weight of these cars seem almost immoral.

Except of course for the '64 Mustang and '58 Corvette, which are as practical and gorgeous now as they ever were.
