TOYS!!!
(how cool are these??)

ok so i came across this video on youtube and i knew the shape of the washer & dryer looked familiar. and also, the silver metal along the bottom of the front of the cabinets, looked familiar too. but i couldn't figure out which washer this toy was supposed to be modeled after???

AND then when i seen the inside of the washer's tub & got a look at the agitator, i wondered if this was supposed to be a frigidaire "thumper".

interesting thing is, i wonder if this toy washer works and actually "thumps"???
has anyone ever seen one of these toy washers & dryers before??

without further ado, here is the link to the video from youtube that i wanted to share with you:

Yes that would be a "Jet cone" agitator with a solid tub, though I have no idea what model or year it's suppose to be.

Very cool "toys" though, i'd love to have them!

It's pretty boring as videos go....... too bad they didn't plug them in and show us what they will do.

Its the Deep Action Agitator. The Jet Cone is on the 1-18. It may be a prototype model made as a demo. The only toy Frigidaire appliances I've ever seen were made by Wolverine in Pennsylvania and came in two sizes. They worked and had the pulsating Three Ring Agitator. The tub was big and it heald water.

Late 70s Frigiadire Toy Models

Very interesting, while having some good details they also appear to be very home made looking. I dough that they were official GM Frigidaire models. The detail on the FD Jet-Cone agitator for a solid tub washer is pretty good, but they used a perforated drum in the dryer which FD never did except on the orignal Filtrater dryers in the 50s [ well before copper-tone appliances ]

It would be fun to be able to contact the owner to hear the story of how these came to be.

This is a new video, I had seen person's youtube feed some time ago. They have a great collection of toy washers and most of them get a demonstration video so perhaps this Frigidaire will come sometime soon.

There is also a link to the Picasa web album on the YT page, very nicely documented pictures of the collection there as well. https://picasaweb.google.com/105815533387906154473?fgl=true&pli=1

me too...

yeah, i was hoping to see this toy washer & dryer set plugged up & in action too.
i wonder if the washer actually "thumps"???

Nice toys!

The red pilot lights seem to be taken from a Frigidaire range too. The cabinets look like those of 1964 models.

you got it!!

jetcone.

i got a kick out of them and wondered if anybody else from here in the group had seen these before or not??

so, i decided to post them so that others could see them too.
(now if only the owner would make a video of them plugged up & in action)....
